AFS Academy 2012 to meet in Istanbul, Turkey in September

What is the AFS Academy?

The AFS Academy is a global gathering for learning that features courses and speakers centering on AFS's three priority areas for 2012 as defined at the World Congress in February:

  • Intercultural Learning
  • Organizational Development
  • Program Development

The AFS Academy offers participants the opportunity to

  • attend one or more one- to five-day courses
  • engage with internationally known speakers from AFS and from other organizations
  • choose breakout groups of particular interest
  • visit and develop relationships with like-minded organizations, educators, and business professionals from Turkey.

All of this will take place in a campus-like setting, giving attendees the opportunity to meet with each other informally for meals, walks, and beach outings, and explore new ideas and share best practices, enriching participants both professionally and personally.

Join this global gathering of learning and bring your mind to the table!

When and where is the AFS Academy?

AFS Academy 2012 will take place over two weeks from Saturday, September 15 through Friday, September 28 at the Legend Riva Hotel in Istanbul, Turkey.  Sessions are rolling throughout the two weeks, so participants can attend either one or both weeks and create a program that meets their needs.
