Essay Contest 2007 Winner
“Anyone can be open-minded when not confronted with difference. Maybe it is only when your perceptions and ideas are challenged, they can evolve and improve.”
So writes Vilde Michelsen Værøyvik in her prize winning essay “Between You and Me.” Vilde was one of nearly 400 AFS returnees who participated in the 2007 essay contest “My Different View.”

AFS is happy to share Vilde’s essay with i-student advisor, an on-line magazine for advisors in international schools around the world. See Vilde’s essay now published in the most recent edition of this e-mag.
