6 Things about Russia…
Volunteer Jerome from the Philippines gives AFS the straight facts on his time abroad in Moscow
My favorite way of spending my time in my host country is walking along the old streets of Moscow and exploring the life that is hidden in old streets, and meeting interesting people.
We participated in the celebration of “Day of Russia” in Saint Petersburg last June 12. It was pretty awesome to be there watching the parade and walking with a lot of friendly faces.
My Volunteer Tara would is my greatest friend I made abroad. She is always there for me and even though I am far from her, I can still say that we have a special bond that we can never forget.
I crave Borscht
The Language was the biggest difference from my country and actually everything was very different from my Filipino Culture; Russian culture is very interesting.
I think Students should participate in this kind of program because it gives a lot of development to a person and an experience they can never ever forget.
