12/17/2004 - AFSers Volunteer in Honduras

A group of 13 AFSers from Norway, Germany, Canada, Belgium Flanders, Switzerland and Sweden decided to add to their duties as community service participants and lend a helping hand for AFS Honduras.

After six months of devoted work, they came together for their final orientation, and with no complaints they showed again their willingness to work hard in the spirit of intercultural community building.

For this special devotion and dedication, they earned recognition awards and heartfelt gratitude from AFS staff, volunteers, and even their host families.

Though it was their last time together, they never lost their joyful spirit and of course AFS Honduras staff members shared the moment with them. The 13 volunteers thanked AFS for their experience, and AFS, in return thanks them for becoming part of AFS Honduras history.
