Our reading room is available Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm by appointment only. Please e-mail archives@afs.org to schedule an appointment. We also ask that you consult the Rules Governing the Use of Archival Material before visiting the AFS Archives.
Researchers must present a valid photo ID at the check-in desk on the first floor of 1 Whitehall St. in order to receive a one-day pass to visit the AFS Archives on the 2nd floor of the building on the day of the research appointment. Once inside the Archives, researchers must present a valid photo ID and fill out the Researcher Registration Form (available upon arrival) prior to using the collections.
