Thanks to a generous grant awarded by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC) in 2010, the Archives of the American Field Service and AFS Intercultural Programs was able to complete a survey of our World War I and II collections. We are now involved in an ongoing process of arranging our collections, preserving the archival material, and facilitating access to the collections through catalog records and online finding aids. Finding aids are descriptions intended to be used as tools by researchers to facilitate in the discovery of archival collections and any available inventories and guides to the archival material.

The finding aids at the Archives of the American Field Service can be searched by record group, collection title, subject keyword, or creator.
