Question
Is the AFS Academy for staff or volunteers?
Answer
All AFS Academy courses are open to both staff and volunteers. Please look at the specific courses to see which ones will enhance your staff or volunteer role. In addition to that, because of the campus environment the Academy offers, you will have the opportunity to further enrich your skills and knowledge by choosing to attend evening speakers' lectures; participate in round table discussions with specific topics; arrange meetings with colleagues from different countries in a more formal setting or at the beach; and join other fun and informational activities. If you are able to attend Friday the 21st, you will also engage in experiential learning by visiting like-minded organizations in Turkey and learn paths to develop similar relationships in your country.

How many staff and volunteers can we send?
Answer
As many as you like! We would like to encourage Partners to send at least three to five representatives.
Question
What do we do if we can't afford to send more participants?
Answer
Please note the "Scholarships" tab on the top right of the AFS Academy site. Participants may request scholarships by first filling out the full registration form, then completeing the scholarship application as soon as possible. We will have a rolling scholarship review so that you can be informed of status in a timely fashion.
